1. Our first room (in the pyramid) was disgusting - dirty bathroom that someone had just used, dirty towels and pee in the toilet!ewwww).

I know the hotel is older, but frankly the room was very dated, the furniture was in poor shape ( the knob kept coming off the wardrobe!), the bathroom grout had stains that looked like they wouldn't come out, the commode did not flush well and the hallways and baseboards were dirty and had noticeable scuff marks.

3. 5 years in Vegas is a long time and the while there are some works being undertaken to improve the casino and ground floor areas the rest of the hotel is beginning to look tired - the rooms in particular are very dated and in need of refurbishment - wallpaper pealing in bathrooms, wardrobes missing door knobs etc. The rooms are still functional and extremely large and the hotel does offer good value for money, the pool area is large and reasonably well maintained although a lot of the sun loungers were dirty or fouled with bird droppings - given we were there midweek off peak I would imagine this could be a issue at busier times.

5. The furniture looked very worn, the carpet was dirty (there was gum in the carpet), the bathroom ceiling was leaking, and housekeeping overlooked a used coffee cup I found upon check-in.

We stayed at the luxor in November and when we checked in the guest services agent offered as what we thought was upgrade to find out it was a standard room although it had a great bathroom the room itself was average it needs a good deep cleaning the floors were quite dirty but the customer service was really good.

28. I have stayed at Luxor before, the promotion room I had this time was soiled with red stains on the bathroom wall, dirty carpet and an exhaust fan that sounded like an airplane motor with lights flickering on and off.

29. The bathroom floor was dirty, and the base of the TUB was filthy, when you use a dirty mop to wipe the floor, it leaves the `ring-around` the outside base of the tub.

What the majority of other reviewers say is correct -- peeling wall paper, nasty mildewy smells, worn rugs, dirty, smoky smelling (although the smoke may be a Las Vegas issue, generally), poor bathroom (my shower door actually fell off the sliding rail, and I was only just able to catch it before it slid to the ground, and the toilet wouldn`t flush right), shabby, bad beds, and pretty much like the divey motel you might stay in during your 20s on the side of a freeway.

34. My only gripe with this room was that the tiling in the bathroom and right inside the door was pretty dirty but I noticed this on the tiling right through the hotel so maybe they are hard stains.

35. the towels were old and tired and on eof tem was actually still dirty-the Tv remote was not working and ditto the lights in the bathroom.
