1. Our king room was on the corner so it was very large and had a wrap around balcony that was fabulous.
2. The room also had tall ceilings with large windows overlooking one of the pools.
3. Asked to be switched, but a large conference took new rooms.
4. What I mean is that the furniture was all very worn, inexpensive and too small for the large room.
5. While the room itself was spacious, with a living room, full kitchen, walk in closet and large bath, once again we found scratched furniture, stained cushions on the chairs and the carpeting was worn with ground in traffic patterns.
6. We started out in a room in the main building that had been remodeled, it was awesome, very large and nice, but way too noisy since the bar was directly below the window.
7. I was upgraded to one of the villas, so it was quite large and included separate kitchen, living room and eating area.
8. In terms of the rooms, the room was large and spacious with a nice little balcony.
9. Rooms were clean and large.
10. But they were missing a couple things: no floor length mirror anywhere; the bathroom light switch was outside the bathroom itself; very poor lighting in a large room.
11. Rooms need to be redone, although older structure may limit what they can do- my room was large, but very dark.
12. The first night I was in a room in the main building which was quite large and beautiful but the echoes from outside made it nearly unbearable to sleep before midnight or after 4 am when they were moving furniture around outside.
13. Check in was great; the room was large and quiet; room service was punctual; and the bed was great.
14. My room was large, bedding was 'Westin-esque' (Excellent) and all amenities were there.
15. Our room was in the main building and was about 1 1/2 times as large as a regular room.
16. 2) Ocatilla Lounge- The lounge is too small for such a large wing with so many rooms / guests.
17. My room was in one of the blocks across the central garden, large and comfortable with a private balcony, but frankly a little dated and scuffed, the desk light didn't work, and the sink had a large crack in it.
18. Our room was lovely, clean and large, but located in a distant building which required walking over uncovered walkways, which would have been pleasant in good weather--but unfortunately we had rain and a temperature in the low 50's.
19. Both my husband & I enjoyed our large, nicely appointed room in the Valley View building.
20. The meeting rooms were good and mostly large.
21. I had a resort premier room and it was large, well maintained and had a large patio overlooking the pool.
22. It's a bit dated - my room was large and extremely comfortable, but some of my colleagues found their rooms a bit down at the heels.
23. Took about an hour and found a spot to make some calls and do some work, when I got to the room big room with large alcove work area, double balcony and large sitting area.
24. The bathrooms, in the Ocatilla rooms, are tiled and very nice with a separate toilet room (very very small - 2 1/2 foot by 5 foot - too small for a large person), double sinks, large shower stall and good size bath tub.
25. From cottages (small but cozy)scattered about the spacious grounds (some with jacuzzi and private grassy areas that would be perfect for large family reunions), to small rooms located inside the main buliding, or larger rooms located in outer bulidings (many of the outer bulidings have separate swimming pools), or the larger villas.
26. The rooms/bathroom are separated and large.
27. There is a sprawl of rooms set out over a large area but the grounds, rooms and general meetings areas were all clean and nice.
28. Rooms are very large and comfortable.
29. We enjoyed our stay at the Biltmore - the room was large, clean, and had a private patio where we enjoyed the late evenings.
30. Directions to our room were poor and the map provided was vague (it is a very large hotel).
31. Our room was in a nondescript building a short walk from the main edifice, but the view form the large window was magnificent.
32. Although we had a lovely and large room in the Valley wing (and I agree with the person bemoaning the lack of in-room coffee), there is as of this writing no wireless at the hotel, a problem if you have a laptop such as a Macbook Air with no ethernet port.
33. The room was very large and comfortable, but very traditional.
34. The decor in the room was very dated (80's?) but the room was large and the location wonderful.
35. Our room was older but very large which worked out very well.
36. There's nothing quite like checking into an expensive room in the desert after a long, hot trip and finding a note on the large bottle of water on the bureau - drink me and it will cost you $8 - no freebies here.
37. I stayed in the Ocatilla wing, with a modern, large room that repeats the Biltmore Block in the headboard and bathroom tile.
38. I stayed in the Ocatilla wing, with a modern, large room that repeats the Biltmore Block in the headboard and bathroom tile.
39. The room was large and spacious, although I might have preferred wireless access over the one wired port in the room.
40. The room we ended up staying in was a one bedroom apartment style room with a full kitchen, living room, large bathroom with jet tub, and a porch.
41. Our room was very large with French doors that led out to our private patio.
42. Although the place is interesting and the room is large, the security of the place is suspect.
43. My recent stay at the Biltmore was all that I expected from a 5-star hotel: large rooms with plush bedding, recreation for all age groups, good location, beautiful setting, and an entire staff that was professional and looked after all requests promptly.
44. The hotel property was incredibly large with beautiful gardens, small private cottages and multi-room buildings.
45. We needed a room large enough to accomodate the 2 of us and our 17 and 13 year old sons.
46. Its a large, resort with many buildings, so I'm sure not all the rooms are in the same condition, but ours (in the ocotilla wing) was lovely.
47. The main lobby and large ballroom and conference rooms are amazing--classic architecture for the late 1920's.
48. Re: the pools--the large pool is far away from the two wings that house most of the Classic rooms-both wings built in the late 1970's.
49. We shared a large and spacious room in the Ocatilla Section of the hotel and it's well worth the extra money.
50. Here with a large convention and can't think of one thing that wasn't done First-Class--All meals were excellent, room in the Terrace wing was Huge, grounds were gorgeous, pool was delightful, and all staff were extremely accommodating--they even pronounced my name correctly--something that NEVER happens.
51. The room was comfortable and large.
52. Simple room w/ a very comfortable bed, nice large bathroom and free internet.
53. Stayed in the Ocatilla wing -- large room, great bed and nicely furnished room.
54. Our oversized room had french doors that led to a large balcony which over looked a quaint courtyard and also had a view of the distant mountains.
55. The room was large and nicely furnished and decorated with a comfy bed with plush linens.
56. The rooms are large but but a average and the pools aren't great too.
57. Everything was new and we had a large HD flat screen LCD TV in the room which was super.
58. Our room while large and with a balcony was a little dingy and needing updating.
59. And there were several of these large meeting rooms available in a few different buildings.
60. Large rooms, with very comfortable beds.
61. Our rooms were large, though not the largest on the property (the whole wing looks bad from the outside, but the bathroom was the size of my first apartment and the beds were extraordinary, plus we had a balcony with a great view of the mountains).
62. Basic room, large flat screen, king bed, alarm clock that worked with iPod attachment and a refrigerator that you could store things in besides the $8/bottle of water they had.
63. The architecture was fascinating and our room was very large and spacious.
64. We instead got a large king bed in a room that fit a roll away for our daughter comfortably.
65. We opted for self (when you do this make sure you don`t get lost going to your room at night!) The resort is very large and we were in the back building so we did get lost once.
66. In room safe is not large enough for a small laptop.
67. I`m glad it wasn`t one of those large chains where there are 500+ rooms in one building.
68. Our room featured a 42' high definition tv`s, a very large bathroom with two double sinks, seperate glass shower, and sunken tub, and a huge closet.
69. I paid in advance for a deluxe resort room in the Valley wing which was large with a lovely balcony overlooking Camel Mountain to the left and the large lawn and a glimpse of the Paradise Pool to the right.
70. The room was $470 per night (about $120 per night more than a standard 'classic room'), but it was huge, located right off the paradise pool, and featured a large walk-out patio that was surrounded by hedges and was very private.
71. Our valley wing room 3425 was a value for the money- large balcony, spacious bath and amenities.
72. Have seen comments here that the rooms seem quite outdated so perhaps I was lucky, but my room was very up-to-date, very large (with a very nice, and very large, bathroom--separate tub and shower), and had a full balcony (third floor) with a beautiful view of the Biltmore grounds (and absolutely lovely view of the fall Arizona sunsets).
73. The rooms are large, the furniture is big and heavy (craftsman style oak).
74. Although the room was large, it had little or no ambience and was in a wing of a hotel that seemed to be built as a significant afterthought in an effort to create more space to generate more rooms for conferences held nearby.
75. Our room also had two very large bath robes to use.
76. Our resort room wasn`t worth more than low season rates, all very average - king bed, a couple of chairs and ottoman, desk, large closet, 42' flat screen tv, a large patio with seating.
77. This is a full-blown suite: 20-foot ceiling, enormous patio, floor to ceiling windows looking north to the mountains, fireplace in the living room, full kitchen, large bedroom, walk-in closet, etc. The VIllas are owned by other people and Hilton manages them when they are in the rental pool.
