There is a lot of self parking nearby if you do not want to pay the $47
valet parking
fee or need in and out service.

The hotel was hard to get to by car--
valet parking
is all that's available and it isn't necessarily obvious where to go (go south on Michigan and then turn right onto Balbo and it'll be on the right)--but once we got inside we were very pleased.

Upon arrival, we learned that the
valet parking
service at the Blackstone is slightly more expensive than the self-parking at the Hilton parking garage across the street - which was still pricey but not as bad.

Our only issues were with some service aspects which appear to be not well worked out yet, such as housekeeping not servicing our room until 6 pm and a clump of
valet park
ers who ignored us (we ended up in the Hilton lot across the street, marginally less exhorbitant).
"Wonderful gem with few rough edges "
