1. Duct tape was holding down wiring in the hallway (which was likely just a temporary fix and unfortunate for us with regard to timing) and the peeling/unpeeling that took place all afternoon made a nap a little bit difficult.

5. What's worse, the bellmen were really nice and articulate and put together, which contrasted further with the comedy act being run by the valet guys, unfortunately based on this experience I couldn't say that I would come back to this Westin, despite the room itself being fine.

6. I had a nice room that unfortunately overlooked a parking garage (not the best view) but the inside was great; decent TV, comfortable heavenly bed, spacious bathroom.

7. unfortunately, the delay was due to still cleaning of the rooms (at 4pm, why not bring in extra staff to ensure all rooms are ready for scheduled check in from 3pm), so as soon as a room was cleaned & available, the staff just assigned the next room, irrespective of the room you had booked.

9. I'm a little biased because I live in the Detroit area and unfortunately one of the best things about the Book Cadillac is that there isn't anyone there so you feel like you have the place to yourself.
