4. This hotel was a great deal this past week (paid $139 plus tax for a Thursday night) and I have no real complaints - it was pleasant and adequate and a good location, but there was nothing to make it special, either, hence no extra stars).

6. While this was admittedly a freebie courtesy of frequent flier miles, it was a pleasant surprise to discover this pleasant small hotel just a block south of the Houston station on the #1 line.
