1. The room was updated in a contemporary way, but feels like a cottage.

2. It is an older motel property, like so many other in Santa Barbara, but you can tell that the owner is spending a fair amount of money on upkeep.

3. Loved the room, a little small maybe but big enough (ours was the smallest in the hotel and thus paid less for it), really liked the basket of welcome goodies.

5. If you an afford the ocean front locations of the Harbor View Inn and the Santa Barbara Inn and like the boutique hotels, go for it there too.
