1. we DID go to Garden District to see one magnificent home after another; City Park - great museum, sculpture garden, disc golf course, etc; Maurigny for great music; Royal St for great shopping, antiques, etc. Used Airport Shuttle - very reasonable, on-time, no hassles.

3. If your going to stay here I suggest taking the Airport Shuttle ($38.00 RT if booked in advanced) they are on time and a safe way to get back and forth to the airport, and avoid the parking fees for a rental car, everything is within walking distance.

6. The hotel is close to many fine dining choices in the CBD and Warehouse District, as well as the WWII Museum, art galleries etc. Just a few minutes walk to the Sheraton and the shuttle to the Fairgrounds Racetrack.

7. We took the hotel shuttle from the airport which is a $38 round trip but the ride was about 45 minutes.

8. As it turns out it's about $35 one way in a taxi and you get door to door so probably not worth the shuttle.
