The lady said we had a
view
from the room, but do you call looking at a grungy office building a
view
.

Although my room lacked anything remotely resembling a
view
- I considered myself in the 'basement,' the amenities were nice, the furnishings good, and the meeting room accommodations very pleasant.

Honestly, the only complaint I had about our entire stay was the
view
from our room - not much to write home about but what are you going to do.

On the plus side, there was a very neat alcove where the desk was placed, and the flat-screen TV was well placed for
view
ing from the desk chair or the bed.

Yes, you may get a
view
of the monuments & Whitehouse from the W but you also pay for that privilege to the tune of @ least $100 more.

Our king room was spacious, extremely quiet, well appointed and very reasonably priced -- although the
view
from the main floor was non-existent.

My only caution is that first floor rooms in at least one part of the hotel are below grade level, so they have no
view
and if you look out your window you're staring at the legs of pedestrians.
