1. As the hotel is undergoing renovations, the ice machines are not accessible but the front desk is more than happy to send room service up with ice.

5. the horibble front desk who tried to tell us only smoking rooms are available- until we threatened to leave- then one non-smoking magically opened upthe room was HORRIBLE- borken tiles in the shower, coffee maker in the bathroom (appetizing) terrible bed and stained carpet, scratched armoir- veiw of the trash dumpster in the courtyard- would have complained but we were exhausted from drving up from Savannah GA so we just gave up.

6. the concierge couldnt make us a reservation and gave us the wtong directions for the place we chose for dinner- nothing like walking 15 min in the wrong direction (as per the concierges directions) to hail a cab and find the place 3 blocks from the hotelwe took dessert back to the room- called room service for a fork- after 2 hours and 7 calls (at 9pm at night) i was told to go to the front desk- where the employee at the desk told me he couldn`t get me a fork and to go into the lobby bar and ask-just what i want to do in my pajamas- after standing next to an gentleman in a tux and his escort date for 15 min in the bar i finalyl got my fork.

7. Construction going on at the hotel so front desk was moved into a meeting room of sorts, but staff welcomed us and made us feel at home.
