1. Never saw bugs etc but admit it was dated but again I paid under $100 a night (I think close to $80) and got good service from the guys that was at the front desk.

I am a generally relaxed traveller and easy to plase, and even with certain problems with the building and rooms, good service can make up for so much; you will not get that at this hotel, and the desk staff is strikingly disengaged (or, more likely, jaded from all the complaints they receive due to the longtime poor condition of the hotel).
