2. If you don't want to waste money for not-so-great food in Waikiki (compared with Tokyo or NY), you can cook yourself!(2) The room is huge, equipped with DVD players (there is a free DVD rental service for guests), PS3, and iPhone-compatible stereo.

5. This property is definitely for you if:- you want to save money by cooking meals in a full kitchen- you like the apartment experience and need your space but still have hotel amenities at your fingertips- you like to hang out in your suite, relax and soak in the views and the breezes - you like your own beachfront (the umbrella fees are horrible!) - you like to walk a few steps to shops and a variety of hotel restaurants.

9. Some of the other buildings and rooms in the HHV are really dated for a 4 star hotel and not worth the money.

10. I personally don't think it is worth the extra money for a partial oceanview when you can only see a small view of the ocean between other buildings (we were already on the 22nd floor).
