1. The food was horrible, so much so (even their alleged 5 star restaurant) that we cut our visit short by three days and went to the Hilton Wailoloa which was superior.

9. The Mauna Kea Beach Hotel is located on an exquisite beach, the rooms are beyond posh, the staff is friendly (although oddly devoted to the late Laurence Rockefeller), the restaurants are wonderful and expensive.
