6. The room was comfortable with great balcony The grounds prestine and beautiful We were shocked by $15 sandwiches in the makeshift deli -- so make sure with all the parking fees, resort fees, and eating that your american express card has no limit.

7. The location was fabulous, the grounds meticulously maintained, our room was HUGE (so was the bathroom!), and the appointments first class (no, we did not say in the fancier rooms--we were in a 1-King, Garden-View room, which had a HUGE private balcony and a view of the ocean.

10. One presumably comes to Hawaii for the sun and beaches and not to stay inside, but I found it much more pleasant to sit on my room balcony and look out over the ocean instead of being herded below.
