1. I felt comfortable walking on the street level b/c I was with husband and child.

2. The staff at the Hyatt Place Riverwalk went out of their way to greet returning guests, provide restaurant recommendations, etc. (The Filling Station, a sandwich/pizza shop one block down the street was a particularly excellent recommendation.

3. You need to walk at least 15-20 minutes via Riverwalk to get to business area, restaurants, etc. We found that it was a lot faster to walk above on main streets to get to places like the Alamo.

9. Proximity to River Walk: You can walk to the main part of the River Walk at Market Street in six minutes (yes, we timed it) if you go on street level.

10. I don't know how long it would take to walk going along the river walk to get to the center because we preferred walking street level.
