4. The man that stored my luggage did not speak an ounce of English and when I asked him where I can take the nearest Subway downtown, he walks me out the hotel and points to me at the Subway sandwich shop to the left of the hotel.

8. Our tip for travellers is that midtown is too touristy so head downtown to the quaint and interesting districts, or else uptown to Central Park and the museums.

9. We did a full downtown loop first then got off at Ground Zero and walked to Pier 17 beach and shops before returning to the hotel for a 1 hour turnaround for 4 to shower and change for their evening tour which took us to Brooklyn and ended at Times Square.
