1. Being a first timer at New York, the walk from the subway to the hotel seemed daunting so we took cabs at night which takes only 5 mins.

3. Now, that's mostly about how the Bronx is organized (not the fault of the hotel), but we could choose between either expensive cab rides (and, gypsy cabs at that) or frustratingly long - and confusing - trips to get to the Bronx Zoo and the Botanical Gardens.

4. The cab ride to the stadium was only *+tip, the hotel called for us and it was there within 10 mins tops and for me definetly worth it.

5. cabs are expensive from this location as they are not the standard "yellow cabs.
