1. It is also very convenient to the Muni and BART (we flew into Oakland and took the BART into SF and walked 10 mins from Union Square to the hotel).

2. The Opal seemed middle of the road price wise and given that hotels for me are somewhere to sleep and get ready to enjoy the day, I'm happy provided they're clean and tidy (preferably aesthetically pleasing to the eye).

6. The reason why i gave the hotel 4 points is because the walls are thin and i think is hunted atleast room 413 but i didn't mind the opal friendly ghost.
