2. Otherwise the place is good - beds were comfortable, hot tub was nice on a rainy day ( pool wasn't heated though as their website says, but that was ok)There is food within walking distance ( a great Thai restaurant across the street, fast food, bagel shop, Starbucks).

Upon entering the front desk girl greeted us and she literally took care of all of needs: she offered a room away from the freeway so there would be minimal noise, offered us two beds, told us the opening and closing times of their brand new restaurant, gave us a map of the san diego zoo, told us about their pool and spa, let us know exactly where our room was.
