To top it off the staff was great, the restaurant was solid (for hotel fare), the wireless internet was free (it worked most of the time), parking was free, the bed was comfy, it had a nice pool area, and the central location was great with about 10-20 minute drives to downtown, the zoo, Mission Bay, and La Jolla (plus you were out of the way of the hectic hotel corridors).
