2. Ask for a quiet room away from lift on a high floor (unfortunately, there is still work going on, on waikiki beach directly in front of the hotel.

4. unfortunately, having rooms above that waterfall on a low- to mid-level floor in the hotel means you get that waterfall noise constantly.

5. There are some rooms that will be get a lot of wind noise and some rooms that are very difficult to keep cool as they take on a lot of sun and unfortunately some of the rooms with the best rooms get the most sun and can stay warm all day and evening.

8. Great location in the midst of Honolulu - unfortunately, while we were there, the only pool was under construction and the nearest beach access was public and very crowded, and lacking in the amenities I expecte from a beachside resort - particularly in terms of restaurant/bar service.
