I thought the hotel was in a
bad
part of town but after driving around Austin (the downtown area and also around this hotel) its seems the whole area has gone down the tubes since I lived North of Austin and spent a lot of time there from 2005-2007.

Bathroom was in
bad
shape, the water did not go down in the shower, and the toilet looked like it hadn't been replaced since it was first built.

It was not in a
bad
part of town, but felt a little exposed with all the rooms being the type that face the outside (no internal corridors).
