1. All in all I would say you cannot go wrong if you use the Kaua'i Palms Hotel as a jumping off point for the beginning of your visit to Kauai (Wal Mart & Costco are nearby) or as a regroup point before an early departure.

2. The rooms are kinda small but for the price you can't go wrong, specially if your only going to sleep and shower and then out the door again to explore the BEAUTIFUL island.
