1. If I need to find something negative about my stay.
"Great hotel & city! Can't wait to be back! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/22/2012 Vote
2. negatives:No coffee maker in the room, the bathroom is wicked small and doesn't have a fan, our view was awful, and the positioning of the TV was odd (to the right of the bed in the corner), horrible cell reception (with AT&T).
"Wasn't awful, wasn't fantastic... " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/18/2012 Vote
3. The biggest negative of this hotel, in my opinion, is the hallway noise from the doors.
"Good stay overall " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/11/2012 Vote
4. The only negative is this is a connecting room and the noise from the other guests was unbearable, so I switched rooms after 4 nights.
"Good stay overall " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/11/2012 Vote
5. The only negatives were the bathrooms were small (not a lot of counter space for all my toiletries) and the bar wines were very expensive ($16 for a glass of Mathew Fritz Chardonnay) - retails for $28/bottle.
"Excellent Hotel " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/25/2012 Vote
6. The negatives: Our view was lacking, next time I'll request the corner room.
"It was stunning " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/26/2012 Vote
7. Pricewise, the Palmer House is no bargain but what do you expect for downtown Chicago? While I have focused on some of the negative aspects of the hotel, all-in-all, it is a pretty reliable choice if you have reason to stay in downtown C.
"Reliable Choice " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/5/2012 Vote
8. Overall, the hotel was middle of the road - some great positives and a few negatives.
"OK Hotel with Great Location " Read full review on TripAdvisor   12/6/2011 Vote
9. The only negative things I can say is that 1) parking was very expensive ($50) but that is normal for downtown- I should have known better and found an off-site parking garage, but 2) I was so disappointed that there was no mini-bar in the room, no bottled water (even for a fee), no coffee machine in the room, and my husband thought for as much as the room was worth it should have a flat-screen (instead it had a old tube-television).
"Elegance and Historic Charm at it's best " Read full review on TripAdvisor   11/28/2011 Vote
10. The only negative I can think of is wifi is not free, which just seems cheap on the part of the hotel, given the room rates and price of food and drink they could give guests wifi and avoid seeming like they are nickle and diming you but to be fair it seems no place in Chicago gives you free wifi.
"Beautiful Hotel - Great rooms " Read full review on TripAdvisor   11/24/2011 Vote
