4. The Lobby is reasonably nice, but once you get up to the room levels, the hallways look incredibly dated and worn out (grubby carpet, peeling wallpaper, etc.

I was surprised to learn that this hotel had been renovated recently- the lobby seemed like something from the 1970's - the floor that we stayed on seemed a little worn and our room did not have a 'new feel' - the furniture had some scratches and the bathroom door (a slider) did not have an appropriately placed stopper -- so was hard to open and close.
