1. I had business in Las Vegas in April of 2011, and I didn't want to stay in an expensive room I would barely use, and I'm not fond of long walks through smoky casinos.
"Clean, safe, and friendly. Close to The Strip. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/9/2012 Vote
2. But if I were to come back to Vegas, I will try The Venetian/Palazzo or Wynn (but these are more expensive) since they are near the Strip and has shops and theaters available.
"Not recommended if you want to be near the Strip - where the action is " Read full review on TripAdvisor   8/3/2011 Vote
3. I inquired about upgrading (at my own expense) to Tower 2, and she still said that there were no rooms available.
"Terrible! Outdated! Disgusting! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/6/2010 Vote
4. We knew it would be expensive to find a hotel for our New Year's vacation in Las Vegas, but we didn't know we would be paying Hilton prices for Super 8 quality.
"It Sucked! " Read full review on YahooTravel   1/2/2010 Vote
5. Its also in a superb location as its close to the airport so a taxi wasnt too expensive.
"Great all round hotel in a great location. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   12/12/2009 Vote
6. It's one of the less expensive hotels, but for the trivial amount of money to move up to a better one, it is NOT worth it to stay here.
"Will never stay there again " Read full review on Expedia   11/17/2009 Vote
7. Pros: connected to the Luxor and Mandalay Bay hotels by free tram good selection of restaurants and food stands cocktails/other drinks much cheaper than the more expensive hotels easier to get a seat on the Deuce bus as it is at the southern end of the stripCons: need to walk a fair distance to get to many of the hotels casino can be quite dark and noisy room service seemed to leave trolleys in corridors for days at a timeAll in all, however, I was very pleasantly surprised by my visit, especially after reading some of the negative comments on this website (I guess people are far more likely to post when they have had a bad experience than a good one) and would certainly consider staying here again.
"Cheap and cheerful! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/25/2009 Vote
8. Yes the casino was smokey (which casino here is not?) and yes the sales people were annoying (they are in the expensive hotels too and you just have to ignore them) but our room was non-smoking and very quiet.
"Cheap and cheerful! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/25/2009 Vote
9. After reading all the horror stories we then chose the Travelodge on the strip, but my spouse had never been to Vegas so we chose Excalibur as the least expensive big casino value.
"Excalibur - first time, not the last " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/14/2009 Vote
10. I don't think our experience would have been the same with the less modern standard room, maybe it was just the feeling of having an expensive room but not paying $$$ a night for it.
