1. Having stayed there many times, I was expecting great things from the Hotel Bel Air after the two year closure and was very disappointed to find that it had become a mishmash of trendy design and poor functionality.

We went to the restaurant one evening and got exceptionally poor service because all we wanted were appetizers and drinks and did not order off the 'pricier' main entree menu (We would have ordered off it had there been more choices and seating in the Pub - not everyone wants to eat Foie Gras or Rack of Lamb after being on an airplane all day).

5. Specifically, we were treated a little more like the poor cousins this time - which I think is due to the fact that we don`t really look or act LA/Bel-Air glamorous, and as a result the service we received poolside, in the bar, at check-in etc.
