Fourth, they had a mini-fridge that was cold and was not stocked with
expensive
items I was afraid to touch or I might get charged.

The hotel gives good driving directions to areas of interest but parking is a nightmare in Old Town and
expensive
at Seaport Village unless you spend money in the gift shops to get your parking validated[tourist trap-only visit to access the very good Seals tour-amphibious vehicle which takes you out on a tour on the bay] The hotel was in the process of repainting the corridoors while we were there but they were using the same dingy colours-it needs brightening up.

all in all i think we could have made a worse choice and considering that san diego is an
expensive
place, one should have reasonable expectations.
