1. Having two students in college in SB we have been visiting this hotel since 2006, and not once have we been disappointed.

House cleaning lady saw me leaving in the morning and I even took down the 'DO NOT DISTURB' tag but when I returned from a long day of meeting, I was disappointed to find my room totally untouched: bed was not made, trash can was not cleaned, bathroom supplies were not replenished and maid NEVER came back to clean.

10. I`m glad I chose the Holiday Inn Express as I met someone else who had stayed at the Encina Lodge prior to surgery and they were VERY disappointed and said the staff had a 'take it or leave it' attitude and the rooms were very small and dinghy.
