1. The front desk clerk replied that there are different levels of rooms, and she will note in my file that next time I reserve, they will try to sell me a more expensive room.

4. My only non-satisfactions were with the overnight complimentary shoe-shine service (they delivered my shoes very late), newspaper delivery (also fairly late), and the breakfast I enjoyed with business associates was very expensive yet was not very substantial nor remarkable in quality.

It wasn't a big issue and don't hold it against housekeeping (who did an otherwise excellent job) -I was just a little puzzled about it This hotel is a bit on the expensive side but is well worth the price and staying here was an absolutely marvelous experience and one of the highlights of my trip to the United States.

9. It is across the street from the church of the Presidents, you can see the White House from the dining room (and some of the more expensive rooms), and, if you like to walk, it is easy to walk to the monuments, the Smithsonian museums, the White House, etc.
