2. All easy walking - plus you could actually walk to many sites as well - and it's just up the street from the Kennedy Center (which has free concerts every night at 6pm 365 days a year.

9. We had a faultless stay at the River Inn (room 605), we were given free wine upon arrival, a free copy of the Washington Post every day, and generally left alone to our own devices (which we like).
