1. While we enjoyed our stay, along with the terrific staff, we felt the accommodations were grossly overpriced for value received.

The people who run the hotel were super-nice, very helpful (they booked us an amazing massage and gave us great recommendations for places to go that were not in our guide book, all of them terrific), and it was the perfect place to check out all the amazing parts of Maui, from the road to Hana to the little towns in Upcountry to the Haleakala crater, and also close enough to all the amazing beaches on the West and South sides of the island.

6. Nina was terrific in helping us find ideal snorkel spots and beaches - we loved the hotel's location right in the center of the town and that we could access the wonderful places to eat and visit right from our front door.

9. Oh, and I can't forget the best touch of all: complimentary good coffee and pastries in the morning, all from the a terrific coffee shop across the street.
