1. The hotel is in such a good location and is only a quick walk to Union Square, the Powell-Mason Cable Car, the BART and the huge Westfield shopping centre.

2. If you are in need of a huge room for entertaining then it might not work for you but we didn't plan to spend a lot of time in the room.

3. Our room wasn't huge but happily accommodated two queen size beds - incredibly comfortable, dressers, mini fridge to store your wine and a flat screen tv.

5. Also beware, the walls are very thin so you can hear EVERYTHING your neighbors say or do but if you're fairly quiet (which I am), not in the room much (which was my case) and you have quiet neighbors (which I thankfully did) it's not a huge deal.

6. I wouldn't stay there on a personal trip, but I will stay there on future business trips just because of the huge convenience.

7. We were able to walk to almost everywhere we wanted which was a huge part of the charm of San Francisco for us.

8. The hotel is beautifully decorated with a great chandelier hanging in entry, a huge decorative fireplace in the corner, great art throughout, a very cool terrace on the third floor and even a nice wine happy hour.
