1. It was a general musty/dank smell in the main area of the room and a heavy old urine smell in the bathroom.

2. I guess that is tolerable for the price of the room, however, I did check a newer motel down the street on my last day in Eugene 'just to see what I missed out on' and found that it was in better condition for the same general price.
