2. Close to downtown Memphis (a short walk and trolley ride), on the river, 4-poster beds and good-sized rooms, an excellent restaurant (breakfast, lunch and dinner), and friendly, attentive service from all involved.

4. The hotel is located a little way from the centre (about a $12 cab ride), in a very smart and safe area with lovely walks, easy parking (behind and in front of the hotel), an excellent local grocery store and small shops/services.

9. The hotel itself is built in mock New England style and our room was perfectly ok with a fairly large bathroom and although there was no separate shower cubicle the shower itself was excellent.
