1. I have stayed at other W hotels, so I knew to expect modern and funky decor, but like many other reviewers mentioned, it was the service and the attention to details that really impressed me about the French Quarter W location.

2. We recommend the W for its character and funky flair, and fully suggest staying there even if only for the hospitality and accommodations from the concierge and staff, especially Daniel who kindly greeted us every morning and whom also drove us to the Ritz for our final few nights.

3. There is construction going on but we were able to stay in one of the renovated rooms and they are going to be very funky when they're finished.

9. W Hotels all have a young, contemporary 'shag-a-delic' vibe to them, so if funky design that sometimes takes priority over practicality bothers you, don`t stay at any W.
