2. I loved everything about our stay except for the hugely disappointing fact that our 13 year old son was not allowed in to a 7:40 movie showing.

3. I could hear some street noise, but it's auto traffic on the light side, not trucks - very much like what one would hear outside the first floor, HUGE, windows at school.

The Courtyard Cafe restaurant must have hundreds of unusual & different light fixtures in it's two-tiered, high-ceilinged room facing a wall of windows overlooking a huge freestanding mosaic-tiled fireplace in the courtyard (unfortunately not in use while we were there due to the unseasonably chilly & rainy weather Portland had been suffering through May into early June), creating a cozy glow at night.
