5. Housekeeping was good, the staff was pleasant (I learned that the motel did not have an internet connection in the office except for the reservation system, which explains the lack of email confirmation.

6. There was a view of the ocean from the balcony, but since the boardwalk and beach was less than a half-block away we simply walked through the parking lot and there it was (except for one other property in front of the Inn).

7. The bathrooms are great, except for the missing shower door (this may be the modern design, but it does not work all that well in practice).

8. It woulda been a great stay, except that they are doing a great deal of renovation, which ended at about 11pm and picked up the next morning at around 7am.

Other pluses: Room was clean, except for the carpet; water heater worked extremely well; adequate drawer and closet space Minuses: Paper thin walls; room was either extremely hot (during the day) or extremely cold (at night); housekeeping staff had to get someone to translate when I asked for washcloths; no alarm clock, TV remote, blowdryer, or iron; an outlet without a cover, nightstand missing a drawer, floor with a broken tile; BED EXTREMELY HARD.
