1. We got the kids in bed and then the noise started.

We discovered that the bottom sheet was too small for the king bed and so housekeeping had turned the sheet sideways to have barely enough to tuck in, but in doing so, it was too short for the bed, so about 18 inches of the mattress at the foot was not even covered by a sheet, and it would not even stay tucked in on the sides.

3. The bedside lamp had a broken socket with exposed wire that could have caused a terrible accident had we not noticed it before reaching up from the bed to turn it on.
