Renaissance M Street hotel is very conveniently located in the centre of everything - tram/open top bus tours pick up from right outside, and a short walk to metro stop, White House etc. The hotel is furnished nicely but not especially clean (dusty in the lobby area, gym kind of dirty, room service trays remain out in the hallways uncleared for ages).
