Spent a week at the Palms Cliff House and can't say enough about its beautiful location (right on a bay, with lush surroundings), friendly staff (couldn't have been more gracious), delicious and creative breakfasts that filled us up till dinner (the butter rum muffins were my fave!), and accommodating hosts (my husband and I both have dietary limitations that were handled beautifully).

4. Although it IS a bit of a drive a to Hilo but it is well worth the 20 minutes or so it takes and it really is NOT that far to go back to town for lunch or dinner.
