1. If you want a relaxing environment to slip away into after hitting the shops or beach all day, forget the huge resort complexes right on the beach, come to the breakers.

2. It is a quite gorgeous place to either rest, swim in the pool, read, go shopping -so close to everything, the beach, the fabulous restaurants all around.

3. We also traveled to the North Shore and stayed at a wonderful Beach Bungalow for 4 nights then Kauai in a 4/5 star Marriott Hotel (very OTT!) but lots of fun and finally back at the Waikiki Parc hotel which is all very modern,stylish and so chic.

Against these minor problems you have to balance the excellent and friendly staff at the hotel--and the superb *location* (on the edge of Waikiki, away from the glitz, but with easy access to TheBus and Fort DeRussy Beach Park--not to mention a full-service US Post Office just about 30 metres down the street.
