1. The first being The Breakers -my two teenage sons both loved their room and the location being so close to the beach, Dennys, shops etc. My partner and I enjoyed the retro feel and warm friendly service this wonderful hotel shared with us.

2. Though the hotel isn't classified as one of the upmarket hotels in Hawaii, it is nevertheless, a classy & affordable island-style boutique hotel which offers first class service by all staff members - who are always genuinely available to provide assistance when required, the personal feature often missing in numerous other hotels.

3. The price is reasonable, particularly considering the overall quality of the hotel and its services.

4. Its motto could be, and perhaps should be 'It isn't broken, don't fix it!' The services, architecture, staffing arrangements, and room layouts are all reminiscent of motels we knew as kids.

5. Against these minor problems you have to balance the excellent and friendly staff at the hotel--and the superb *location* (on the edge of Waikiki, away from the glitz, but with easy access to TheBus and Fort DeRussy Beach Park--not to mention a full-service US Post Office just about 30 metres down the street.
