1. The public areas such as the lobby, breakfast room/restaurant and grounds are very pleasant.

We decided to stay away from Kona township, which bustles along with the best of them, and seemed not to far removed from Waikiki - plenty of shopping, restaurants and action if that's what you want - so we chose Keahou, about 8 miles south of Kona, for a relaxing few days and were really happy with our choice.

10. The hotel is a 10 - 15 minute drive from Kona itself (plenty of restaurant choices), and less than 5 minutes from Keauhou Shopping center which has a convenient grocery store, drug store, and several restaurants (Bianellis pizza is fantastic!).
