1. This hotel is within walking distance to some great boutiques, antique shops, lovely restaurants and even late night pizza.

5. It's within close distance to some great restaurants, and a quick walk to the lower Haight, Castro and Hayes Valley where there's plenty more great bars and restaurants.

7. There are several MUNI stops nearby but, if you prefer to walk, you'll be in a great location to do so; we had no problem walking to Japantown and back, and we did make the return trip from Chinatown on foot, though it did take a while (hilly terrain.
