1. When we complained the next morning as we checked out, two separate people who helped to process our checkout (we had prepaid through Amex Plat Travel) apparently couldn't have cared less.

2. When I called to let the front desk know I had placed shoes on the knob, they let me know they would not be ready until Noon the next day (checkout time!).

3. This was all conveyed at checkout and on the online after stay survey, but no response or formal apology other than the sweet lady at the front desk saying she was sorry and her manager would call.

5. The hotel is located next to 16th street which is a hotspot during the holidays for shopping, lights, etc. The next morning before checkout, we walked to Starbucks just a block away and took in some of the sights of downtown Denver (most notably was the church located near the Brown Palace.

6. I will spare you the details, but if you stay here ----ask questions - assume nothing - and carefully check your checkout bill and your credit card .

8. The Sheraton down the street had broken bathroom doors and flimsy tissue; whereas the amenities at The Brown, offered thick towels, comfy robes and free wify with late checkout if you join the Preferred Hotel group at no cost.
