1. Dog friendly with plenty of safe, grassy areas for walks.

2. I think the best is to really take your time and soak in the resort like atmosphere and walk the marina, have a cocktail, and play pool, or in the pool outside.

8. There really isn't anything within walking distance, but the hotel shuttle will take you anywhere within 5 miles, so that gives you some options even if you don't have a car.
