1. I finally had to call to get some towels and then that took an hour and when we left and came back to our room the maid had come in, decided to clean but left the garbage and soda cans sit there but had refilled our towels so now we had a lot of fresh ones.

We made countless trips downstairs and across the street to communicate our needs to the front desk, which were relatively reasonable--we are low-maintenance travelers--just a rollaway bed and more toilet paper, because when the maid cleaned our room, she left no extra toilet paper--just the half-used roll already there.
