1. It is a very different vibe though, than downtown Portland, or the close-in core neighborhoods of Portland.

2. The neighborhood was very safe and we were greeted by a very friendly female desk clerk who offered suggestions to a local jazz festival and restaurants and said to call if we needed anything-and meant it.
