, so most of the time, I jumped in my rental car and made for the cheap places on Kapahulu Avenue which runs makai-mauka from the ocean to the H1 freeway.

our split system A/C did have an occasional drip, half the satellite tv stations were on the fritz, both the WiFi and ethernet connectivity was very poor and

, the queen bed is actually two full beds cluged together ala an "european matrimonial" configuration, and the hotel is showing its 60 year age upon closer inspection, i.

-The Hau Tree Restaurant was a bit
pricey
for lunch and dinner on our budget, but breakfast was excellent and reasonable every day, service was great, and dining under the large Hau Tree was unforgettable looking out on the beach.

restaurant and bar closed way too early (including the room service), fitness center needed a reservation, lukewarm water, inconvenient business center, a small,small room with thin, thin, walls, without much amenities.
