1. Most of us had no food or water for nearly 6 hours on that first day (because no one anticipated a delay), and when we started to realize what was going on, we discovered the shops had already closed.

2. Since the only food/water you can carry is that which is purchased there, you may want to purchase at least water (though overpriced) in the event you have a delay.
